Fashion show wows crowd

The music was thumping, the crowd enthusiastic and well-fed, the multi-colored lights illuminated the stage, and models from the Safford High School girls athletics program strutted their stuff with a little assistance from visiting NFL players from 4Coast apparel at the Manor House Convention Center on Friday night.

EAC’s Visiting Writers Series continues with Daniel Chac—nThe Eastern Arizona College’s English Depart-ment will host the first Visiting Writers Series event of the spring semester Thursday, March 22. The visit will begin with a free 3 p.m. workshop by New Mexico author Daniel Chac—n in the Academic Programs building, room 274.

At 7:30 p.m., Chac—n will read from his collection of works at a free public performance in the Academic Programs building, room 118.

The Eastern Arizona College’s Speech Com-munications Department will present a storytelling event unlike any other in recent EAC history: The two-day event will begin March 23 with a Cric Crac (an event where all in attendance are welcome to share a story) and a more traditional storytelling event the next evening with EAC favorite, Layne Gneiting.
