TLC students receive reading awards

Triumphant Learning Center recently honored students who completed reading goals for the 2006-2007 school year. Students in the kindergarten through second grades who read a yearly total of at least 3,600 minutes were presented with White Tiger Cub medallions. Students in the third and fourth grades who read at least 4,900 minutes, and students in the fifth through eighth grades who read at least 5,600 minutes were presented with Gold Medal Reader medallions.

Those who received the medallions are Elisabeth Anderson, Michael Ander-son, Dawon Andrews, Rosie Carbajal, Rachel Clark, Cade Clonts, Sarah Clonts, Mikah Foster, Stephen Griffith, Zane Griffith, Sarah Harvey, Jacy Larson, Katie Larson, Whitney Larson, Kaylee Lunt, Jonathan Reidhead, Shawn-tel Reidhead, Brayden Shields and Trevor Shields.

Four students were also honored for TLC’s highest reading award, the 10,000 Club. Each read more than 10,000 minutes during the school year and received a special 10,000 Club trophy. They are Katie Larson: 24,395 minutes; Jacy Larson: 15,700 minutes; Whitney Larson: 13,345 minutes; and Rosie Carbajal: 10,495 minutes.
