The magic carpet ride shows no signs of slowing down for the Safford boys basketball team. A 75-49 blowout of Florence on the road Friday night raised the Bulldogs record to 20-1 on the season.

Starting with last night’s game against Santa Cruz, Safford finally gets some home cooking. The Florence game was the last of a six-game road trip. The last three games of the regular season will be at home.

The Thatcher boys were victorious in an out-of-conference rivalry game against Pima on Saturday night. The Eagles picked up win No. 14 with a narrow 38-35 escape at home. In the early game Saturday, the Pima girls defeated the Lady Eagles 38-30. Pima (15-6, 4-2 1A East) has some serious work to do in their last four conference games to close the gap on first-place Fort Thomas.

The Lady Roughriders have a big battle with Duncan at home Friday.
