A woman and a man from Duncan have been arrested and charged with possession of illegal drugs for sale.
Auendrea S. Reynolds, 25, and Daniel A. Fletcher, 29, were arrested by Greenlee County Sheriff’s officers Jan. 29 at a camp trailer on Chaparral Road in Duncan.
Sheriff’s investigator Pat Sexton, accompanied by Sgt. Ruben Paz, Arizona Department of Public Safety investigator Ty Willis and sheriff’s deputies, knocked on the trailer door around 9 p.m. and announced they were there to serve the warrant. Sexton said in his report that Fletcher answered the door and was immediately advised to lie on the floor. Reynolds, who was on a couch, was told to do the same while officers searched the trailer.
Sexton said he found a shoe between a couch and a chair that had a bag of suspected marijuana on it. He found two more bags of pot in the shoe.
He said “usable” amounts of pot were in each bag.
Officers found a prescription medicine bottle with Reynolds’ name on it that reportedly contained a clear plastic bag known as a “seal” with four grams of meth in it. Also found in the bottle were 24 unused seals.
A black mechanical scale with a white powder residue in the scale’s cup was seized.
Also seized were smoking pipes, or bongs, that had marijuana and meth residue in them.
Sexton said in his report that the presence of the items found, particularly the scale, led him to conclude “the sale of methamphetamine was being conducted at this residence by the suspects.”
Reynolds and Fletcher were transported to the Greenlee County Jail, where they were booked and held. Reynolds was later released to a third party.
Sheriff’s deputies Randy Loya and Samuel Hannah assisted in the bust.
