Vince Kieffer of Pima has joined the Farm Credit Services Southwest staff as the crop insurance specialist.
He will be based out of the Rural Arizona office located in Safford and will be responsible for the administration of all federal crop programs and crop hail policies throughout Arizona and the Imperial Valley in California.
In addition to his extensive agricultural knowledge and experience, he served as the Pima town manager for two years, served on the Pima Town Council for 11 years, served eight years as mayor and is currently a member of the Pima School Board. He has also served as a member of the Pima Volunteer Fire/Rescue Department as an FF/intermediate emergency medical technician for the past 20 years.
Kieffer and his wife of 22 years, Lisa, have two children.
Their son, Jerryd, is serving a mission for his church in Bogota, Colombia; and their daughter, JayAnn, is a sophomore at Pima High School.
