Are we seeing global warming or global cooling?

The Al Gore fearmongers point to melting ice caps in Antarctica as proof that the world is rapidly warming, but they offer no proof of this except a picture of ice caps melting, which was taken in August, when ice caps do melt. Two new studies of temperatures and ice cap movement in that same area indicate that (global warming) is not the case. In fact, Antarctica is becoming colder.

Dr. Peter Dorman and his team of scientists have determined that since 1986, temperatures have been dropping an average of 1.2 degrees Fahrenheit per decade, and downturns have occurred since 1978 in the McMurdo Dry Valleys of east Antarctica. When scientists noticed that glacial ice wasn’t melting, streams weren’t flowing, lakes were shrinking and microorganisms were disappearing, they decided to expand their data collection and discovered that Antarctica as a whole had gotten considerably colder. The study seems to confirm what 17,000 scientists have previously determined: There is no global warming.

“Never mind these scientific studies to the contrary. Proceed full speed to implement the Kyoto Protocol,” some politicians say. This mindset is costing Americans billions of tax dollars and jobs. It is costing our businesses and manufacturers billions of dollars each year because of these radical environmental rulings that are pushed through Congress without any scientific proof. The way politicians pass these radical environmental rulings through Congress is to attach them to a bill they know will pass. They know they would never pass on their own merits.

Well, don’t worry about it, folks. Al Gore and his California cronies are getting rich on global warming. We have thousands of environmental and safety regulations that were passed by our lawmakers in the past 40 years. Are we really safer today than 40 years ago? What good are these regulations if other nations don’t have to live by them?

The Kyoto Protocol agreement is a joke. Did you know that some nations are exempt, such as China and India? That is the real reason why President Bush did not want to sign it.

Now there is a radical environmental group pushing to save the polar bear. Its members want the polar bear placed on the extinction list. They say global warming is less ice floes and that is hurting the bear population. Their real reason is to make it harder to drill for oil in the area of polar bear habitat.

Many worry about our environment. I don’t because God created this world and everything in it. And God, not man, will take care of this world. Man is too greedy. We have on our money “In God we trust,” and that’s how our country was founded. So don’t worry; be happy and trust God, not liberalism.

He did say Dr. Peter Dorman, the Professor of Egyptology at the University of Illinois at Chicago didn't have anything to do with the article either. Turns out there is a third Dr. Dorman from Arizona whose feelings on global warming are different from the scientific community. Apparently, the CSM cited the wrong Dorman because the Egyptologist is more prestigious than a quack with no qualifications. "

" Sorry man- Just can't believe an Egyptologist being concerned with much more than the Sphinx, Pyramids or some gooey mummy. If you google Dorman and global warming you get hit upon hit on this guy out of Evergreen. If the CSM cited the Egyptologist I think they made a mistake. Archival search of CSM showed Dorman was only interested perserving the Sphinx or some other archeological find. None of this has stopped me from driving my Dodge Hemi and nothing will though. The only professor Dorman at that institution is an assistant professor in Egyptology. Either the Christian Science Monitor is wrong about his place of employment, or he is said egyptologist. "

CO2 concentration moves with temp changes. Ocean warming from solar and geothermal sources drives the CO2 concentration and the climate.

Anthropogenic forcing is a very small amount the overall CO2 forcing. And CO2 does not drive the climate.

The ice caps are one thing, but what about our environment? In the US the summers have been getting hotter, but the winters are getting much colder. How do you explain that?
