Level 2 Sex Offender Alert issued

The Graham County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Level 2 Sex Offender Alert as required by ARS 13-3825, the Community Notifica-tion of Sex Offenders Law.

Walter Wayne Clark, 42, a white male, was convicted April 17, 1991, at the age of 26, in the Graham County Superior Court for molestation of a 4-year-old male. Clark is 5 feet, 4 inches, weighs 120 pounds, and has blue eyes and brown hair. He resides at the Gila River Bed north of the bowling alley in Safford. He is not wanted by the Graham County Sheriff’s Office at this time.

This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is believed that an informed community is a safer community. Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate or harass sex offenders will not be tolerated.

" i think people like this need put in a pin togather so they can hurt each other not our children. but what do we do with the ones the court or milatery let slid to keep doing it. my exhusband is a sex offinder there in safford that just got a oth out of the marim corp for molesting my 3 year old daughter, hes free to keep on it was our life he messed up, and hes repeated it again to plead down to a drug charge. thank you for the warnings. "

" Granted, child molestation is a heinous act, but doesn't it bother anyone just a little bit that someone who did time and paid thier debt to society "resides at the Gila River Bed north of the bowling alley" due to the inability of someone with such a history to obtain housing? In 100+ degree heat? Are we, then, "The Town Without Pity"? I was molested at age 4 and 5, and can still have compassion. People like to ask what Jesus would do. I think we all know the answer to that question. "
