Since May of this year, the end of the school year, I’ve been transporting employees of Freeport-McMoRan from Safford to Morenci and back, twice a day.
Unlike my travels to and from the mine in Miami, every trip is a pleasure.
Unfortunately, my anger toward the CTI drivers who drive to the mine in Miami may have lumped all drivers in the same pile.
For this I do apologize, mainly because I’ve seen the other side of the fence. So while you’re driving your tanker to or from the mine in Morenci and see a bus driver with blond hair saluting you, it’s me. Again, bravo to you!
Sincerely,
Fred Smith
Safford
