" I was impressed by both Mr. Aguallo, and Robert Gomez, at the candidate's fair, but they both have full time jobs with the mine. For what the elected jobs pay (taxpayers dollars),we deserve full time supervisors to represent us. "

" To told you so. What good man ran against Sheriff Tucker? I only knew of Brinkley, Hughes, and Andezola. Brinkley; maybe, Hughes; never showed his face or could be contacted to find out anything about him, and, Andezola; surely you jest. Being a jailer is not law enforcement experience, and there was good reason to fire him from that job. "

" I hear many people comment on how they don't want Mr.Tucker to be Sheriff. Here's the thing. You People had a chance and right to Vote. Use what rights are given to us. You still have a chance to Vote him out. There was a good man running against him. Someone who was willing to make a change. Use your rights people!!!! VOTE! "

" tucker only does his job when needed to otherwise he is out doing just like everyone else in this town where they talk about eachother and then pretend to be friends. what greenlee county needs is to remove all the people who hold an office and start over with honest, trustworthy, and unbaised people. " Many men have held the office of sheriff since I wondered into Greenlee County back in the 60's, Starting with Forrest Wilkerson then Bobby Gomez even had Richard McClusky for a while. We had trained people (Williams) and some just good ol boys doing the job. There was always some stories of wrong doing getting out but they always seem to get the job done, because life still goes on there somehow. Steve Tucker, is human, but he will do the best he can to do his job as sheriff, and keep you safe. "

" Eco tourism would be a a great spoke in the wheel of Greenlee County's financial diversity...But....There are too many slob 'outdoorsmen' ruining the natural environment....Voting won't change that, unless we get a law enforcement team dedicated to stopping it.
We could also put a positive spin on having Mexican Gray Wolves, but the 'Old Guard' of ranchers can't see it and won't let it...Wolf watching could catch on if the County Supervisors had vision. "

" Pretty sad that such a small amount of voters turned out for the District 2 Election. Next time you complain about an issue please stop to think who you voted for, or maybe you just didn't because you were to busy sittin at home complaining about what was on T.V. Vote people!!! Vote, let's get some new blood in office somone who's actually gonna help get somthing done in this county. This minute garbage the elected officals have been doing is ridiculous, lets bring some housing in, lets bring some industry besides mining here etc etc etc........ " Jaime Aguilar is fair, and hard working. He will not drop a case or put it to the side. It may take him a while, but at least he makes sure the public is taken care of and bad guys are brought to charges. Jaime was devoted as a investigator for the people. That is the type of sheriff we need!! Thank you Jaime for running! "

" The county attorney is another issue. Talk about a person who takes care of his friends and "needs" as a politician. Regardless of face value, our county attorney is a coyote. He works for his own agenda at times, in stead of doing his job correctly as he is in-trusted to do. Unless there is change the county attorney will continued to drag his feet and bring our county down. "

" I agree with the comment about the Greenlee County Attorney, the Sheriff's Department does an excellent job at catching the crooks and drug offenders that are out there wondering around all of our children, and the county attorney just slappes them on the hand and sends them back out to continue their bad habits and endangering our community!!!!! ready for change wrote on Sep 3, 2008 8:24 AM:

" Steve Tucker won the battle but I truly believe if Greenlee County wants positive changes made in the Sheriff's office Jaime Aguilar will win the war!! When he was an investigator for the county he made people feel like he cared about seeing justice served while maintaining the dignity of people he dealt with. I know without a doubt he won't just say he will do it to get a vote he will prove his dedication to our community thru service as our next sheriff. "
