Ronald Leonard Curtis

Ronald Leonard Curtis, 53, entered into eternal rest Aug. 30, 2008. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Donald Leonard Curtis, and his brother, William Joseph Curtis.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia, of 31 years; and their three children, Steven Leonard Curtis of Lawton, Okla., Angela Maria Curtis of Thatcher and William Joseph Curtis of Safford. Ron has 10 grandchildren: Faith, Victoria, Christine, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Emily, Desiree, Jeremiah, Anthony and his princess, Kadie.

He is also survived by his mother, Mary Jane of Wisconsin; and three sisters, Donna Lee Strand of East Troy, Wis., Chris Luedtke of Union Grove, Wis., and Billy Ann Johnson of Salem, Wis.

Ron was born March 10, 1955, while his parents were stationed in San Antonio, Texas. Later, the family moved to Japan and then California before moving to Wisconsin, where they made their home.

Ron married Patricia in 1973 and lived in Wisconsin until their move to Arizona in 1980. While raising their three children, he enjoyed skiing, hunting, fishing and camping. Ron worked at the Morenci mine for 25 years before retiring to Thatcher.

Ron had an unconditional love for his family and a heart of gold. He will be forever missed.

Services were at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel on Sept. 6 at 2 p.m. Online condolences may be extended at www.caldwellfuneralchapel.com.
