Outstanding girls and teens wanted to compete

It is time for the Mini Miss and Miss Outstanding Teen Pageant. The Mini Miss event is a fund-raiser for the Miss Graham County Scholarship P20eant. However, something new is Miss Outstanding Teen.

The Miss Outstanding Teen winner will compete at state. This is a Miss America program. It is a great opportunity to earn scholarship money and gain confidence.

The pageant will be held Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. in the Lee Little Theater at Eastern Arizona College. Ages to compete for Little Miss are 6-8; Petite Miss, 9-11; Junior Miss, 12-13; and Miss Outstanding Teen, 14-17.

Registration cost for Mini Miss is $30; for Miss Outstanding Teen, $35.

Those interested may pick up applications at McDougal-Caldwell Funeral Chapel at 112 E. Main St., Safford, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Questions may be directed to Jennifer McDougal at 428-3732 after 4 p.m.
