EAC Chamber Orchestra presents Starlight Strings Concert: Movie Magic

Eastern Arizona College’s Chamber Orchestra will perform its annual Starlight Strings Concert on Thursday, Sept. 25, 7:30 p.m., in the Gherald L. Hoopes Jr. Activities Center-Lee Little Theater. The concert will be conducted by EAC’s orchestra director Franklin Alvarez, and Elise Burke will serve as concertmistress.

The theme of this year’s free concert is Movie Magic, and it will feature musical selections from 14 movies, including “The Mask of Zorro,” “Harry Potter,” “Artificial Intelligence,” “The Patriot,” “The Lion King,” “Forrest Gump,” “Apollo 13,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “Schindler’s List,” “Batman,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Pocahontas” and “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

Admission is free to this family-friendly event that Alvarez said will be “especially appealing for youngsters.” For more information about the concert contact Alvarez at 928-428-8266.
