Socialist policies being preached are alien to this country

Editor:

In a current reading of the United States Constitution, I could not find any reference to subjects dealing with entitlements, grants, bailouts, sharing the wealth or any other fiscal policy besides capitalism.

The socialistic bent of the political policy now being preached is alien to our form of government and to our citizens. We are not guaranteed any form of a governmental handout, and it is not lawful or moral to take from one and share the wealth with others. That is a form of robbery and is practiced by the lowest form of despots in a corrupt bureaucracy that now invades the political system of our nation.

We will not survive the inclusion of entitlements now being proposed and, as with all governmental policies, can only fail and will become a people without freedom or opportunity, to become a renegade people at war with those who would enslave us with new laws and forms of rule not seen since the era of Nazism and communism in their rawest forms.

Anyone who feels the need to contribute to this new world order is free to do so with the comprehensive freedom of choice.

If voluntary and known, no person of sound mind would follow such a course, so it can be done only with subterfuge and seduction of weak minds.

Sincerely,

Thomas Smith

" Love a (1): strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties.

Love, as in caring and helping each other. On a person to person scale, I have yet to see this fail. On a governmental scale, when bureaucracy and self importance over others enter, I have yet to see this work. Dictating what should be done, how people should be and what they should think, is simply not love. I think love has a lot to do with freedom. "

" Brother Government" that will give the illusion that all is under control and everyone is happy and taken care of. Perhaps it isn't too late to start a movement to educate against a socialist state and force the US Government to STOP AIDING COMMUNISIM. Until this happens the USA is changing faster than you blink, sliding down the into that socialistic abyss. Apathy of the masses enables negative change by the elite. The change rarely benefits the masses. "

" To create a world Communist society, which is what the powers that be are in the process of doing, takes about 35 years to demoralize a country and it's people...drugs, promiscuity, lack of family and values...Already happened in the USA. Destablizations takes about 5 years...outsourcing of manufacturing, oil bought from foriegn countries, lack of jobs, increase of welfare. Create a crisis that will last about six weeks...bailouts, low, low interest rates, printing of money with nothing to back it up. When things become "normal" again it will be forever and we will be a Communist country with "Big "

" I agree, sorry. Jesus was compassionate, loving, unjudging. Everything socialism isn't once it goes into effect. Socialism looks very beautiful on paper and it should work. But it doesn't, for the simple fact that it's the same 'person-in-charge' miles away from the common person factor. The further in power over lives they are, the less they care. It's basically all the downfalls of capitalism, only giving more power to that 1 big person - exactly what it passionately argues against. I think less government and more human interaction and love is what this country needs. "

" That's bwana's problem, they confuse God with the Government... and obviously can't separate the two. Before bwana can speak about Jesus, maybe he/she should learn about Jesus first?

Wealth redistribution (Obama's thing) was well defined thus; "...from each according to their ability, and to each according to their needs." Oh! Did Karl Marx say that? (or was it bwana?)

bwana would be very happy in China I'm sure. Hey, here's an idea! bwana, why not move to China and find out what its really like?? "

" Please don't call Jesus a socialist. And please don't call Mr. Smith a crazy old Coot. I have a choice name for you but I refuse to do as you do. Jesus taught us to take care of our fellow man and to give and be charitiable. This is a very personal thing and should come from the heart not from the government. "

    US Government Subsidies

No Drought Required For Federal Drought Aid - $635 Million
$1.3 Billion to People Who Don't Farm
Growers Reap Benefits Even in Good Years – $3.8 Billion
    U.S. Sugar Subsidies: $1.2 Billion a Year

    SOCIALISM at its finest! "
