Elvin Preston, 49, also known by his street name, Bony, was lying on the east side of the building, where a homeless associate who was walking through the area shortly before 9 a.m. discovered him. The man alerted the owner of the store, John Reidhead, who then called authorities.
A Safford officer checked Preston and reported he was cold, had no pulse and showed signs of rigor mortis.
According to Captain Dennis Whisman, there were no signs of foul play.
