Parents of missing child grateful for help

Published on Sunday, December 21, 2008 4:21 PM MST

Dear Editor:

We would like to thank all of Graham County for the safe return of our son. When he went missing, we were offered help at every turn. We were overwhelmed with support from friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and complete strangers throughout the community who wanted to help bring him safely home.

Special thanks to Pima Police officer Cauthen for acting quickly and professionally. Since our son is expected to make a full recovery, we know that the prayers and thoughts sent out for him prevailed. We are so lucky to live in such a wonderful community surrounded by good people.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Jim and Lori Boren

" First of all the kid is almost 18! He is going to do what he wants and there comes a point where the parents can't "take care" of him anymore. Saying "take care of your kids", is vague at best. Don't comment when you don't know the facts! "

" Just where do you get off telling these people to take care of their kids?! It's not your place to sit in judgement of others. By the way, how many kids do you have? And don't tell me, I'll just bet YOUR kids never had any problems! Get off your stupid high horse and quit complaining about things you don't know about!!!!!!! "

" To parenting: Get all the facts before you start accusing people of not taking care of their children. There isn't anything these parents could have done different to change what happened. Any teenager could have made the same choices. "
