Pima Police issue Level 2 Sex Offender Notification

The Pima Police Department has re-leased information pursuant to A.R.S. 13-3825, the Community Noti-fication on Sex Offenders Law, which requires law enforcement agencies to inform the public when an offender will be living in the area, for public safety and protection.

Offenders are categorized in three levels. Level One (low risk to the community) requires no community notification. Level Two (intermediate risk) re-quires possible community notification. Level Three (high risk) mandates community notification.

Charles A. Humphrey, at the age of 18, was convicted by Greenlee County Superior Court on March 31, 1986, for one count of sexual misconduct with a minor involving a female. His current age is 41. He has green eyes, brown hair, is 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds.

Humphrey has served the sentence imposed by the courts and has advised the Graham County Sheriff’s Department that he will be living at 377 E. Highway 70 in Pima. He is not wanted by the Pima Police Department or any other law enforcement agency at this time.

This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is the department’s belief that an informed community is a safer community. Citizens’ abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate or harass sex offenders will not be tolerated.
