Great Day wrote on Feb 23, 2009 11:52 PM:

" This would be a great day in the Gila Valley if the members of the Mormon church in this local community followed the tenets of their faith. It is a good thing that the Temple is being built here-maybe it will encourage the Church members to stop discriminating against non-Mormon members of this community. One can only hope! "

" to sum it up, I do not speak ill of any faith because personally how do we know who is right and wrong maybe we are all right. The real truth is to love thy neighbor, repect and god will decide our fate. I would hope that the lds missionaries are not disrecpting you after you tell them no they should walk away. Well I hope that I have explained myself, please don't take offense to what I said earlier, if so I do apologize. "

" so tell me something and be honest. is it the religion that has done you harm or the members of that religion? If it the members than shame on them that is terrible. Its like people opposing gun control its not the gun that does the damage (lds religion) it can be the person behind the gun (members). We as members should always respect your beliefs after all that is what we are taught on sunday. Just for once I would like to simply state I am lds and not be Criticized for it... "

" let me tell you something well: First of all I don't go around and try to convert other people to my religion. Some may view that as not being a good member. However I try and respect ones point of view. I would say that 99.99% of the time I am on the defense for my religion. I have sat in just a couple of other religious meetings not of my faith and couldn't not believe the slander that was spewing out of the pastor mouth. why is that, can you explain please? "

Well... wrote on Feb 23, 2009 7:52 PM:

" Shawn we "anti-mormon haters" (What does that mean, anyway?) don't go around trying to get you to convert to our religion while you are shopping at Walmart or come to your door and try to be pushy with our "book." No, I personally find no "glory" in bringing down other's beliefs, nor do I try to force my beliefs on another. If you knew what my beliefs are, you would disagree and try to bring me around to your way of thinking. I don't find that acceptable either, but that's how it is. "

shawn wrote on Feb 20, 2009 8:20 AM:

" can you antil-mormons haters please be respectful and keep your rude comments to yourself. You don't hear us actively preaching against your religion. I mean come on, is that what guys focus on in your sunday meetings, how can we bring down other people in order to glorify ourselves. please.... growup! "

" Why so upset? From all the negative attitude on the topics regarding the Temple, you would think that an adult book/toy store was going in. People, it is a religious building! If you don't believe in that religion, than it is just a building to you. You may not like to read, but will you throw a fit when a library is built? Nope! This valley has a mixture of religions, races etc. If you are a big person, you can live happily, and let others live happily also.
Freedom of speech and religion is a benefit in america. "

I saw Herrington there, so I guess he's still the Stake President? For how much longer?
