Safford’s togetherness event great because of community

Dear Courier:

In these tough economic times it is so good to see the generous spirit and support of the community on a worthwhile event.

This year’s Safford High School Senior Togetherness Event was the best ever!

This event is a celebration for graduating seniors and has been a time-honored tradition at Safford High School for the past 20 years.

It is made successful with the generous donations of family members and business owners. The generous donations were used for door prizes and/or game prizes.

Thank you to the “mystery donors” who gave without leaving a name to thank.

We would also like to thank the 43 families of graduating seniors for their generous monetary donations!

We couldn’t have pulled off such a great event without your support!

God Bless,

Denise Mazanek

" Yes it sounds like the senior together was a success. That is a great idea to have a drug and alcohol free place for the seniors to go and have fun. "

" Yes, Just Curious: Let us see how we can make this good letter into a political diatribe.

Just read the thank you letter and say good and move on.

Nice Letter to the Editor! thanks for writing it. "

" Ha! Just Curious, you made your point.
Score! That was very clever, and currently sad but true.
Nothing would surprise me any more.
Gee..I wonder if there will be a toll booth
charge to get across the new Safford bridge? "

" Sounds like a great event!
Soooo, were the seniors who graduated from Safford High school but don't live in Safford charged admission? Just wondering, seems Safford is going to great lengths lately to segregate itself from the rest of the Gila Valley in the name of money. "
