Law enforcement gathers for shootout
There was plenty of food, fun and lots of gunfire at the pistol shooting range at Safford's Dry Lake Park on Saturday as law enforcement officers from multiple agencies gathered for the third annual Shootout in the Desert. The event was conducted by the Graham County Sheriff's Office and Sheriff P.J. Allred.

Kempton to remain as dealer for new GM
General Motors recently declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy and will close about 2,400 new car dealerships nationwide. The Gila Valley should have no fear wondering if their warranties will be honored or where they will have to go to purchase a new GM vehicle, however, because Kempton Chevrolet is here to stay, according to co-owner Kyle Kempton.
