I do not know the exact number but several donated their time and wages from Monday through out the week to help set up the stage and move items. " I have to grown up in the valley and enjoyed the fairgrounds as much as the next person but pointing fingers at a group of board members is the easy way out. We all know why the place is the way it is because people or to lazy to pick up after themselves instead of complaining about the mess GO DO SOMETHING. My only complaint is why doesnt DOC use more of there inmates out there as a correctional officer i know there is plenty of inmates we can use for the job. "

" It is my opinion the the majority of posters re; this story have lost sight of the real problem...which is salty water from a privately owned well. NOT strewn beer bottles and soda cans. The salty water will surly effect the soil and most trees and grasses won't tolerate it. The soil will have to be removed or treated. Same thing happened to me with my private well and very salty water. It was a mess. Now have city water. Taxpayers will pay for this for a long time to come...guaranteed. "

I did hear the employees told both the BOS and Terry Cooper and they did nothing it was fine as it is. So the blame should lay with these individuals. Safford City employees did not push it for fear of ther jobs. In todays economy can you blame them with all the lay offs. "

" My family likes to go out to the fairgrounds and since about April every time we go out we pick up beer bottles left over from the softballs teams that have played the night before. We like to watch and feed bread to the ducks and would see a fish jump every so often but now the supervisors in their all powerful wisdom has ruined that. We had noticed the yellowing grass and trees not green like they should be. What will it take to get the salt out of the ponds? A good house cleaning!!! "
