Irma Redd Adye

Irma Redd Adye, 68, of Safford passed away Oct. 2, 2009, at Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center.

Redd was born Jan. 19, 1941, in Philadelphia, Pa., to Edward and Ruthanne Jewell. She moved to Arizona when she was 17 and married Larry Adye on Sept. 9, 1975, in Payson.

Many people will remember Redd working at the RV Center and at Ace Hardware. Redd was active in the American Legion, Women’s Auxiliary and in raising money for muscular dystrophy. She enjoyed dancing and teaching others to dance. She was a wonderful cook and loved spending time with her family.

Redd was preceded in death by her son, Scott Bailey, and parents, Ruthanne and Edward Jewell. She is survived by her husband, Larry Adye; daughters, Michelle (David) Moeller and Kim (Steve) Garcia; grandchildren, Chad, Ashley and Brettany; great-grandchildren, Savannah and Sydellea; two brothers and two sisters.

A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m. at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel. A gathering of friends will be held after the memorial service at the American Legion. Arrangements are under the direction of the Caldwell Funeral Chapel.
