“This family-friendly presentation will be delivered by the well-known Gila Valley resident and local historian, Keith Crockett,” said Harry Swanson, dean of Discovery Park Campus. “The Honeymoon Trail is a historic wagon road linking St. George, Utah, with Lees Ferry on the Colorado River and various other settlements throughout eastern Arizona. This famous trail was used for many years by young couples from Arizona who wanted to seal their marriage at the temple in St. George at what was then the closest LDS temple.
“We are so fortunate to have Crockett as our speaker,” Swanson said. “His involvement with our college and with the history of our Valley makes him a superb choice to deliver this program. If you haven’t had a chance to hear Crockett present, then this is a great opportunity.”
