Many people know in their hearts that this country has taken a wrong turn, but they feel that events are spinning out of their control and that they do not have the power to do anything about it. It seems more and more that a sickness, a moral decay, has set in.
This administration has little good to say about America and has been picking apart its very foundation brick by brick. With broad strokes it has taken over major banks and industries. It is punishing private business with increasingly complex and expensive regulations and new taxes, like the coming "carbon" (energy) tax. Approximately 17 percent of the population is unemployed or able to find only part-time work. The only sector that is adding jobs at a feverish pace is the government. The government has been picking winnners and losers by awarding good jobs and free giveaways to people it considers "victims" and punishing hardworking people with increasing taxes and driving their employers out of business.
We could be much more energy independent, but the president and the Congress will not allow us to drill for our own vast reserves of oil and gas (80 percent of which have been declared off limits) and are actively seeking to shut down coal-fired power plants that produce 50 percent of our electrical needs, while chasing uneconomic, sporadic and farsical wind and solar power.
What will happen to America when it can no longer produce its own food, its own automobiles, machinery, drugs, etc.? During World War II, those bombers and tanks that won the war were produced in our own automobile factories. What will we do next time? Ask China to produce them for us? And pay for them with what, exactly? As the value of the dollar continues to sink because of our fiscal irresponsibility, everything that we import, from gasoline to food and drugs, will become much more expensive. The standard of living that we have enjoyed for so long will go down. What will happen to America?
The president is many things, but he is not stupid. This can only be intentional. He has a disdain for America that people chose to overlook because they thought it would be morally soothing to have a black president. We overlooked his close friend, the unrepentent Pentagon bomber, Bill Ayers; his minister for 20 years, Reverend Wright, who hates white people generally and Jews specifically. Lately there has been the "Safe Schools Czar," a radical homosexual who allowed an older man to have a homosexual relationship with one of his underage students. The recently fired Green Jobs Czar was an avowed communist and hater of white people. There are many more like-minded people in this administration.
What can one do about this? You can choose to do nothing and watch this slow-motion train wreck turn the country into another Argentina. Or you can pick one or two issues that you feel strongly about and get in touch with your congressmen and senators. Tell them what you will and will not tolerate. They will have to listen if enough voters call and write. Resolve that you will continue to stay active and involved to get this country back on track. It is going to take some time.
Sinclair Lewis wrote, "It Can't Happen Here," in 1935, as a warning. But it requires a profound suspension of disbelief to think that it isn't.

Face it Safford is an ugly place to live.
Look in thier eyes; no money, no sincere. Most dogs treat you better than the average person here does.
On a vacation; I'd never live here.
Lots of jobs, low rent. Funny..huh?
Friendly faces.

How much longer will you leftists put blame on Bush? Get over it! This mess belongs to Mr. Obama and the choices he’s made with the controlling administrations agenda. Lets go back and place blame where it belongs. Carter, Clinton. Regan and the Bush’s made some bad decisions and were not perfect, but seems to me things were quite a bit better and much more positive than where we are today. At least Bush made decisions that freed people and saved lives. Mr. Obama sits on his thumbs and waits while our solders and innocent Afghans die. "

I do not appreciate you or anyone calling me a racist, because I disagree with Mr. Obama’s plans for this country. I have never once in my lifetime judged a person by the color of their skin! As always the democrats pull the race card hoping to shut down anyone that might see fault in their views. I for one would have voted for a truly qualified black man in a heart beat (J.C.Watts) being one that would represent all the citizens of the country and respects the constitution of the U.S. "

I for one do not spend my time listening to Fox News only, but when I do want information, I deliberately compare the information given from several news stations. It is quite obvious there is a great bias on what is being reported. Why is everyone on the left so concerned about a single news station that reports both sides of an issue, when there are several others that report only the leftist side? Ignorance is bliss. "
