Editor:

We at Thatcher Food Bank would like to give a big thank you to all of those who help out each month and are continuing to help. To Sheriff P.J. Allred, Commander Tim Graver and their volunteers; to the local stores, businesses and individuals who step up when the need arises for food baskets; to all the volunteers who have helped out; and to those who are still with us every month, thank you so very much.

And to you, our community, and the 800-plus that we serve, thank you for being kind, considerate and patient in these hard times. We are continually trying to do our best to help. Thanks to all of you who have helped in any way to make our community a better place to live, work and raise a family.

We were told we would not last as a drive-through food bank. It's been over a year, and we are still here and ready to help our Valley and the families who live here.

Many do not realize how much time goes into helping our community or how much is done for so many with never a thought of any thanks.

Last but not least, we would like to express our deep thanks to Tucson Community Food Bank for the tremendous help and support it is to all of those it helps every month in our Valley. The good-quality food and products you have sent us are far superior to those we have gotten in the past from others. We are grateful you were there in our time of need and stepped up when the need arose. To all of you at Tucson Community Food Bank, thanks.

E. Smith

Thatcher Food Bank director
