The book, commissioned by the Graham County Chamber of Commerce, contains 37 original recipes, including family recipes from former U.S. Senator Dennis DeConcini and retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.
Author Christine Maxa and her husband, photographer David A. James, bring to life the down-home flavor of southeast Arizona by showcasing restaurants, a chile company and a tortilla factory that make up the Salsa Trail.
"Arizona's Salsa Trail" includes articles and pictures of museums, walking tours, scenic drives, birding sites and accommodations.
Pictures include wildlife, flowers, ranches, waterfalls and, of course, people and food.
The book is available at the Graham County Chamber of Commerce for $19.95. Contact the chamber at 428-2511 to obtain a copy.
As if to validate the Salsa Trail and the "Arizona's Salsa Trail" book, an article titled "Some Like It Hot" in the Fall/Winter 2009 Geico Direct magazine features several Salsa Trail restaurants and other features of Graham County.
