| Bingo at VFW |

Bingo is every Thursday and Friday night at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 3481 West Eighth St., Thatcher. The early bird game starts at 6:45 p.m.; doors open at 5:30 p.m. A $1,000 jackpot is offered each session. A cover-all in 55 numbers or less pays $1,000. The consolation prize is $100. Cash door prizes are offered; no smoking is allowed; TV monitors are in each room. No one younger than 18 is allowed on bingo nights. Refreshments are available. Call 428-1021 for more information.

A veterans representative/adjutant is available at American Legion Post 32 in Safford on Tuesdays from 4-7:30 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Call 428-2990 for appointment.

The Cactus Needle Quilters meets the second Thursday of the month from 6 to 8 p.m. at New Life City Church. Meetings highlight various quilting techniques, hints, individual help and show and tell.
