Thatcher’s Kristina Anderson graduated August 10 from Pacific University in Portland, Ore., with a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
Kristina is a graduate of Thatcher High School, Eastern Arizona College and Brigham Young University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Spanish. She then taught high school Spanish for 4 1/2 years in Arizona and Utah, as well as English for a year in Almeria, Spain. She later received her master’s degree in education.
As a part of her physician assistant study program, Kristina traveled to Nicaragua for a humanitarian aid project in December 2011 and also spent six weeks working at a clinic in Roatan, Honduras, this past spring. Kristina was accepted for a 14-month residency in emergency medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Southern California beginning Nov. 1.
Kristina is the daughter of Mark and Kathleen Anderson.
