Gilbert “Gil” Guy Lippincott, 80, of Safford, passed away quietly Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 14, 2013, at his residence, with his loving wife, Bette, and son, Mark, at his bedside.

Gil was born Jan. 27, 1933, in Loveland, Colo., to Guy and Frances Lippincott. He served in the United States Army and then went on to work for Pacific Bell Telephone, where he retired after 32 years.

Gil enjoyed being outdoors, working on cars, making jewelry and spending time with family and friends.

Gil leaves behind: his loving wife of 36 years, Beege Lippincott; his sons, Randy and Mark (Glelia); his daughter, Kim Stewart (Troy); his seven grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.

A memorial service for Gil will be conducted Saturday, Aug. 24, at 11 a.m., at Vining Funeral Home’s Chapel of the Valley. There will be a gathering immediately following the services at Lexington Pines Recreation Hall.

Gil will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
