PHOENIX — The Arizona Game and Fish Department has released its proposed fall 2019 and spring 2020 hunt recommendations.
The documents can be found for review online at the AZGFD website and contain the proposals for “2019-20 fall deer, turkey, javelina, bighorn sheep, bison, bear, mountain lion, predatory and furbearing mammals, and trapping seasons, as well as for the 2020-21 spring javelina, bison and bear seasons,” according to the department.
The AZGFD has invited public comment and question on the proposed guidelines that can be e-mailed to AZHuntGuidelines@azgfd.gov or by calling one of the department’s regional offices and speaking with a game management biologist.
“No formal presentations are planned,” AZGFD wrote.
The Arizona Game and Fish commission will be considering the guidelines at its April 13 meeting in Phoenix. The final approval will be made in late April, with the regulations made available in May on the department website.
