SAFFORD — The Gila Valley Boys and Girls Club was the recipient of a $1,000 donation by Digital Air Strike on Friday afternoon.
Digital Air Strike is a social media reputation management company, posting to social media and obtaining reviews on the clients’ behalf.
Digital Air Strike started the DASventures team that works on events and charity, and once a month it chooses a worthy recipient. In January, the Gila Valley Boys and Girls Club was chosen.
“A few months back, I sent them a list of the things we needed. We just lost our mobile basketball hoops, so this was perfect timing,” said Mick Ruiz, the club’s executive director.
The club received footballs, soccer balls, hula hoops, soccer goals and new basketball hoops. The mobile basketball hoops will be in within the next few weeks. The club has a sportsc lub that the children can now fully participate in, thanks to this donation.
“This really means a lot to me, my team and these kids,” Ruiz said, thanking the Digital Air Strike team for the donation.
