Greenlee County has lost another two residents to COVID-19, bringing the death toll to 13 since March 2020.

The residents lived in the Duncan area and were in their 70s and 90s, according to the Greenlee County Health Department.

Since the start of the pandemic, 718 residents have caught the virus, including an additional nine announced Friday night. As of Friday, 106 county residents were currently battling the virus.

Arizona has now exceeded 1 million COVID-19 cases and more than 18,000 people have died of the virus.

Gila Health Clinics are offering vaccines on a daily basis. Patients are urged to call and schedule their vaccine ahead of time, but walk-in requests are also accepted during normal hours.
