SAFFORD — The City of Safford announced Wednesday the winners of the Gila Valley Fourth of July Parade.
Most Patriotic was Arizona Department of Corrections for its “Let Freedom Ring” float featuring its K-9 unit, a mock Liberty Bell and mock Blackhawk helicopter.
Most Creative was the Boys & Girls Club of the Gila Valley float, which featured icons of American history, including George Washington, Rosie the Riveter and Wonder Woman.
Most Beautiful was Gila Valley Daughters of the American Revolution, who wore patriotic garb and carried American flags.
Best Performance was by the horse riders of Graham County Gymkhana.
Best Political was Graham County Sheriff’s Office, also on horseback for the parade.
