SAFFORD — Safford’s Extreme Martial Arts hosted a week-long karate camp that concluded Friday.
Not only did campers get some quality practice and skill building, they also took time to have nothing but pure fun as well.
Camp leader and martial arts instructor Kaden Jones said, “I teach under my dad right now. This week, we’ve been teaching forms and having buddy days, doing drills. We cover basic moves and techniques, but for the most part, it’s fun and games. We’ve been doing dodgeball, capture-the-flag, limbo, jumping contests and having a good time. The parents drop them off and come back six hours later, and their kids are all worn out.”
