THATCHER — Thatcher Fusion hosted Pima on Thursday, and it was Pima scoring early and often, leading to a 26-8 win in four innings.
Pima kicked it off with nine runs in the first. Thatcher answered with two only to have Pima score five more runs in the second.
Thatcher answered with five runs in the bottom of the second, but Pima scored five more runs in the third and seven in the fourth before the sun went down.
Pima head coach Brawner Reynolds said, “Super good day. Great pitching by Megan; great catching by Heather. Defense was really strong. I feel like we just played a great game. We were backing everybody up, throwing the ball. We had a couple girls trying to steal, and we threw them out and made some plays.”
Pima plays Inferno on June 6 at 5:30 p.m. Fusion played Velocity on June 4 and plays Inferno on June 10 at 5:30 p.m.
